FARAON

SIRE LINE:

FARAON is by the approved Hanoverian stallion Federweisser. Federweisser was the overall winner of the 1997 stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf, scoring 142.97 points and placed 1st out of 37 stallions in both Jumping and Dressage. He combines the highest rideability marks and very good jumping potential with a willingness to perform and a very good character.1 Following numerous wins and placements in riding horse and dressage horse competitions, he was the ambassador of the Celle state stud and the Hanoverian Association at the federal championship in Warendorf in 1998. He has 1 licensed son, 18 state premium mares, 44 auction horses, and 80 main stud book mares.2 Federweisser was tentatively sold to Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Alberta in 2005, but tested positive for contagious equine metritis during quarantine and could not be imported to Canada.

The Federweisser daughter, FRH Fantasia, was a successful 4* eventer in Europe, as was the son Fidibus, who showed successfully at 1* eventing in Europe. Offspring Famina is a successful 1.25m jumper and Francescco is a successful 1.40m jumper, both in Europe.

Federweisser’s sire, Feiner Graf is one of the younger Werther sons in the Hanoverian breed. His first crop resulted in Federweisser and several state premium mares. Feiner Graf, like his sire Werther before him, also appears to be establishing himself as a versatile sire. The dam Lorina derives from Lungau, who was an advanced dressage horse. The granddam state premium mare Natascha is a daughter of the highly esteemed Nomade, who was a high class all round riding horse. The damline also produced the successful international Eiger 1 son Elute.3

DAM LINE:

FARAON’S dam, Carvena, is a successful broodmare in Europe. Her daughter Astorka II, a full brother to FARAON, is just starting her broodmare career in Europe. Son Cayenne, by the stallion Carol, is being prepared as a stallion prospect in Europe.

Carvena is by the Hanoverian stallion Radegast. Radegast successfully completed his 100-day Stallion Performance testing in 1994 with high scores. Radegast later went on to compete in the Young Horse Championships for three consecutive years, where he finished consistently in the top five. He then went on to compete in 1.50m show jumping competitions. Radegast finished in top seven in the Championship of the Czech Republic in 2000. He was the winner of the Grand Prix of Opava, Frenštát, Poděbrady, and he also took part in several CSI and CSIO-W classes, including the Nations Cup.
